Monster Eats the Pilot!

Hey, there my little foxes!
I thought I would let you all in on the best band out there today.
They are my friends, Monster Eats the Pilot.

Photobucket

They are an AMAZING alternative rock band that has played with some big names(including Nico Vega and the 100 Monkeys, yes that is Jackson Rothbone's(Jasper from Twillight) band), at some popular venues(The Viper room in LA, The Key Club in LA, the Knitting Factory in LA, Bottom of the Hill in SF.) I love them, and this is coming from a girl who really can't stand modern music. (I'm mainly a 60s folk and rock fan.)

YOU WILL LIKE WHAT YOU HEAR. So please, check them out! They just released their EP, "As the World Collapsed" and you can listen to it here-

P.S!
Monster is currently in a contest to open up for Aerosmith!
Your vote would greatly help! Thank you!

The Vintage Head Scarf

The head scarf was a popular trend in the early 1960s.
This is my modern take-

And this is actress, Sophia Loren's colourful take-

Photobucket

I wore mine as a muted accessory, matching the rest of my look. I also kept the scarf as more of a headband, unlike Sophia who covers most of her hair.

60s Fox Friday! Jackie Kennedy

First lady, Jacqueline Kennedy, was the best dressed woman to ever live in the white house. She was gorgeous, classy, generous and fashionable! She knew how to walk that fine line between modesty and modern style. A few components that make up Jackie's style are:
1. The pill box hat
2. The sleeveless shift dress
3. One-tone gloves
4. Short strand peals or jewels
5. The long, side swept bob

60s Fox Friday! Goldie Hawn

Actress, Goldie Hawn got her start on "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In" an American sketch comedy Tv show which began in 1968. She always seemed to play the cute and lovable dumb blonde. Fun fact, Goldie Hawn's daughter is Kate Hudson! Goldie Hawn's style in the 60s (when she wasn't clad in a tiny bikini and psychedelic body paintings) was pure hippie.
