Spring Pop.

Denim jacket- San Francisco, Target lace skirt and shirt, Vintage shoes and belt, Forever 21 bag

Shortly after shooting these photos my sweet little goat (Brownie) came and ate the head of my vibrant violet tulip right off.. and he hadn't a trace of regret on his adorable fuzzy face.
So hello spring! When did you suddenly get here? Green grass, apple blossoms.. yet chilly air. Sometimes I feel like California doesn't know when these seasons are supposed to collide so it just mixes them all together.
Speaking of Spring, I'm sure all of you brave fashion followers have scoured over photos from New York's Fashion week and saved your favorites. well here are some of mine.
Starting with this one.
Having been an Art History major, this dress makes me happy. It's Rodarte's take on Van Gogh's Sunflowers.

Lacoste.
Looks 60s to me.

Christian Siriano
Maybe its the glasses.. maybe its the girl.. maybe its the dress. but I like it.

NYLON!

Hello everyone!
I haven't had internet for awhile but I wanted to mention that the February issue of NYLON Magazine is out and my ad for Collection B is on page 119.
All of my family and friends have been really cute and giddy over it. They have been bragging and showing everyone which in turn makes this little lady feel VERY loved.
I'm not sure how many copies we have sitting in my house right now, but its quite a few.  It's actually pretty exciting.. I'm in a national trendy magazine and the ad looks really fantastic. My legs don't look too bad either.... Anywho if you happen to see a nylon or be a regular reader please check me and
the wonderful Collection B out!

Warhol Valentines!

It's almost V day! And who better to consult in the matter of love than Andy himself?
It may not be the usual Valentine's Day mush, but his thoughts on love are worthy for any Valentine card.
Well, maybe if your valentine is as realistic as I am..

"I don't really believe in love.. I sort of believe in liking"

"Fantasy love is much better than reality love.
Never doing it is very exciting. The most exciting attractions are between two opposites that never meet."

"I don't really know if I was ever capable of love, but after the 60s I never thought in terms of "love" again."

“Fantasy love is much better than Reality Love.”

“Everyone winds up kissing the wrong person goodnight.”

"There should be a course in first grade on love."

“I wonder if it's possible to have a love affair that lasts forever.”

“People should fall in love with their eyes closed. Just close your eyes. Don’t look and it’s magic”

Blue Hawaii

Dress- Target, vintage shoes and belt

I got this dress because the print reminded me of a 60s Hawaiian dress, granted the style is a bit more modified 40s with its cinched waist and button detail, but the colours and tropical print sold me on this piece.
Of course this print make me think of the 1961 movie, Blue Hawaii staring Elvis.

Cranberry Crown

 Firstly, this is NOT me.
I'm a photographer, so I shoot this session.
My model was the lovely Christine, who I contacted when I initially had this concept for a natural, creek type shoot. I really wanted a berry crown so my best friend Bibbles (Bless him and his great ideas) ordered this from a local florist. Alicia Hathaway was my AMAZING makeup artist and I highly recommend you check her out here.
Anyway this shoot came together almost exactly like I had it in my mind, which as you fellow photographers know, is very rare. This is my favorite set by far and it's only encouraging me to keep shooting and building an even better portfolio! Exciting things!
