Guest Post- Voguish Doodles

Meet Elisabeth from Voguish Doodles in Indonesia.
She is pretty much the sweetest girl I've ever conversed with over email and she is freakin ad-or-able!
I highly recommend checking out her blog because she is so creative, mixing together patterns and diy ideas to create a unique and sweet style!

Just few days ago, I wondered around some online shops to see what's hot and in trend for this Spring. Then I witnessed that collars still in vogue this season. I saw a gorgeous double collars top in Asos, and I though, since shipping to my country is hell expensive, so I was thinking to create such outfit from what's available on my closet. The Peter Pan Collar is one of my favorite collar ever. I have couples of dresses and tops with Peter Pan collar. So, I had the idea to create a colar combo where I wear two collar tops, and layered the collar on top of the other one. And, voila! That's how you get a double collars effect without spending your money on new clothes. :)

Thank you, Elisabeth!

Polka Dot raincoat

Collection B dotty raincoat, Forever 21 nautical dress, vintage 60s purse

This is another adorable raincoat from Collection B!
I just got back from Sf with my best friends, Robert, Alicia and Pete.
We ate yummy food, got free wine, went to an expensive but fun dance club, walked about China town and North Beach, shopped in Union Square, hopped around SFMOMA and cried at some Warhols, had 4am pizza, and drove while rapping to kanye.
Good weekend.

Only two more days until my Collection B Giveaway ends!

Alligator Rain

 Super Cheesin'
Collection B Raincoat, Vintage sweater, forever 21 skirt, thrifted heels

Collection B's 2012 Spring line has some adorable raincoats, this alligator print being one of them! It's really light so you can just toss it over whatever you're already wearing and keep completely dry.
Plus its packable! It comes with a little bag that you can just fold up the coat and toss it in!
 How handy is that?

Im starting to feel that itch to do more photoshoots.
Its been a couple weeks since I've done a full one and I cant wait to find a new model and concept.
Hopefully I can quickly put one together this coming Monday!
Until then Happy Easter everyone!

Quick update!

So I had a wonderful 21st birthday on saturday, but luckily for me, it's not over yet. This weekend I'm heading to San Francisco with my best friends and staying over Easter!
Its a strange feeling being 21. It's actually starting to hit me that I really don't have any more restrictions in terms of where I can go and what I can do. This weekend in Sf I'm actually going to a dance club, which I'm really excited about. I've been to a club but that was in BC, Canada where the drinking age is 19. So as lame as it sounds this will be my first American club!
On my actual birthday we drove around Slo county and went to play by the ocean in some tide pools like little kids. I did something I used to do when I was 6 on my 21st birthday, which I think is fantastic. I'm not really and have never been a "party girl" so I think it was a cute day overall. My mom and friends did a lot for me all which I really appreciate. Again, how did I get so lucky to have these wonderful people love me?!

Speaking of love.

I just ordered these thanks to my best friend Robert.
They are Jeffrey Campbell spiked Litas.
Sweet lord I might explode. They are so badass and dangerous!
Ahhhhhhhhhh. Dead.

March Bows

Bag- Oasap.com, Skirt- Urban outfitters, Pussy bow blouse- My friend, Pete

I LOVE this little purse. Okay, so I'd like to think I'm the best of two worlds; badass and romantic, and this bag provides me with both in that it has a leather texture and cute feminine detailing. I like to have a little bow with my black and white leather. The nice people at Oasap sent this bag to me and Ive used it everyday since!
And my birthday is in 2 days! Ahhh! What to do, what to do. Regardless of my exciting bday activity, I will be taking photos to show my readers, whoever you are!
Sometimes.. life is shit. Sometimes you work really hard for things that maybe in the real world and the grand scheme of things don't even matter. And even if you don't achieve those things at least you achieved working to get them. And that's what school is. It's a silly thing that you work and work at but doesn't always get you where you want to be. So I done working at school, and I'm going to start working at real life. Because the only things that really matter to me are the real things. Not bullshit units and grades.
So no, I'm not finishing school. But that doesn't mean I'm going to fail at life. I'm going to be extremely successful because I'm a driven individual who is very, very passionate about photography.
I know how to work hard at that and I am more than happy to do it. This lady is done wasting her time, money and resources on school. And the thing about me is I know I'm going to do well. I have no doubt in my mind. Even if I have to contact every fashion photographer in every fashion magazine, I'm going to do it, no problem. Although this week has been extremely disappointing, I'm going to be fine. there's a big world out there that extends beyond what the educational system cons young people into believing. You don't need a bought piece of stamped paper to get everything you want in life.
Sorry, but I'm not buying anymore.

Sugar lips

My birthday is on Saturday, March 31st.
I will be 21.
Whoa.
I don't know how different my life will be once I'm the big two, one. I'm not really a drinker as it is, so I will just look at this as the last physical boundary to cross. It's frustrating to be told where you can't go just becuase of your age. But on Saturday March 31st that's all over.
Is 21 old? It seems a bit old.. but..
I think I've still got some good years ahead of me.

Work the latest catwalk trends with Vila clothing!

In spite of fashion designer Vivienne Westwood showcasing a rather masculine women’s collection during the recent Autumn/Winter 2012 London Fashion Week – complete with military jackets and baggy jodhpurs – the overall theme among British designers was one of tailored femininity.
Attended by the likes of Sadie Frost, Pixie Lott, Edith Bowman and Made In Chelsea stars Millie Mackintosh and Amber Atherton, London Fashion Week was a riot of waist-cinching style and autumnal colours.
Nottingham designer Paul Smith, whose “classic with a twist” collection featured soft velvet suits, colour panelled cashmere sweaters and waist-cinching dresses in muted browns, greens and rust shades, gave a new edge to winter fashion for women. Speaking recently to Reuters, Smith explained:
“It’s very much about tailored garments but also giving them a femininity, so adding shape to the waist, respecting the female form. I’ve never really been brave enough to show [femininity] in a show before, I always felt I wanted to stick more with my typical androgynous look. But I pushed it more this time and so far it seemed like it worked.”
Meanwhile, designer Matthew Williamson went for a blue, orange and brown-themed Russian-inspired collection, with fur jackets, larger-than-life gowns and dresses in iridescent or fiery shades, and 60s-style work suits in orange, navy and red.
There’s good news for those of you hoping to get in early with the latest Fashion Week trends, with plenty of high street brands already serving up on-trend creations at affordable prices. For feminine glamour, browse the Vila clothing collection at Very – you’ll find everything from stripe-panelled dresses to slim-fitting skinny jeans.
The latest collection from Vila also has plenty of pieces in on-trend autumnal shades, so you can get a head-start on this year’s looks and start planning your autumn/winter 2012 wardrobe!

(Quite possibly my first post without a single image!)
