Victory Garden- Photography

Model- Lindsey, MUA- Valerie Nelson, Styling and photography- Me

I am beyond thrilled with how this 1940s style shoot turned out. Now I understand that this blog tends to be more 60s leaning but I always wanted to try some patriotic 40s shots! I found this lovely and very fitting apple orchard while location scouting and it was perfect! Perfect model, perfect makeup and hair, perfect styling and props. Again, so, so pleased.
As always check out more of my work here!

Back to school with Collection B, Seventeen and Nordstroms!

 Hello, hello!
I'm still so excited and buzzed from last saturday, August 25th at the Collection B/Seventeen magazine back to school event in Costa Mesa! I had to speak on several subject in front of a large crowd of very cute and stylish ladies, so I was nervous at first but then I warmed up
and didn't even have to check my silly little notes!
I wore my favorite Rachel Antonoff red collar dress and my Jeffrey Campbell spiked litas.
I spoke on
-How to become a blogger and where to house your blog.
-How to take your best self portrait and how to get a friend to take a great photo of you.
-How to maximize your wardrobe with simple go to pieces.
I met so many wonderful people including my Collection B bosses from New York, Amy from Seventeen Magazine, and all the very, very sweet girls who wanted to take photos with me!
(If you were at the event please let me know so I can come check out your blog!)
You can check out more photos from the event on Collection B's facebook page!
I feel very lucky to have attended and even speak at such an event with the support of my best friends and the amazingly talented and funny people at Collection B!
So thank you all again!
One last thing as well.
Since I had only about 5 or so minutes to speak on each subject I wanted to add something I wish i could have told everyone.
There are tons of bloggers out there who have a crazy amount of followers and sponsors, but what is important to remember is that a blog should be a kind of photographic journal of your likes, activities, thoughts and style. Its a place to inspire and be inspired!
