So I'm going to let you all in on a not-so-secret confession.
I'm not very good at blogging.
I'm all about the photos and I usually skimp on the words. I suppose it's becuase I really don't think anyone really cares to read about what I'm thinking and feeling. But by not divulging anything to my readers, I'm sort of... isolating them and myself.

Maybe I'm not comfortable putting my... life out there in literary form for all to read. I'm more comfortable posting my images and having them speak for me. It's not that I never have anything to say, it's just I'm not sure who would want to read it.. haha
But I'm going to try to change all of that and really put more than pretty photos out there.

I'm starting by stating the following facts-
1. I found out I'm worthy of being the subject of someone's "blogger crush"
2. My first wedding of the season is on sunday!

I don't think it's at all true to say that you're not a very good blogger because you don't use many words and focus on the photographs. Every blog is different and has a different focus - and people follow for all different reasons. I find it strange when people apologise for lots of photos or lots of words - if that's what they want to share, then that's what they want to share. There's lots of blogs I follow which are focused mainly on the photos and I enjoy just wafting through the pictures... If you want to share more writing because you genuinely want to, then great. But you shouldn't feel any obligation to - your blog is lovely as it is x

I don't think not writing a lot makes you a bad blogger, it's just your personal blogging style. But I would love to know more about you. You are one of my favorite bloggers (out of more than 300 that I follow on bloglovin'). I think your photography and style are really awesome and that's what keeps me coming back.

ReplyDeleteIt would be interesting if you found a fashion photograph from the 1960's and created an outfit. Just a thought! I have a blog where I style looks based on photographs from the 60's, but I only have clips of the clothing from the internet. Love your idea of actually styling yourself. Love!
